Subaru Owners Manual
Subaru is the automobile manufacturing division and brand name of Japanese transportation conglomerate Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI). Subaru is internationally known for their use of boxer engines in most of their vehicles above 1500cc as well as their proponence of the all wheel drive drivetrain layout, first introduced in 1972, and became standard equipment for mid-size and smaller cars in most international markets as of 1996. They also offer many turbocharged versions of their passenger cars, such as the Impreza WRX.

The Subaru Impreza is a compact automobile, manufactured since 1992 by Subaru. It have a roomy interior, a commendable ride/handling balance and all-wheel drive that make the Impreza a solid choice for an all-season compact sedan or hatchback.
Mainstream versions of Impreza have received naturally aspirated "boxer" flat-four engines ranging from 1.5- to 2.5-liters, with the performance-oriented Impreza WRX and WRX STI models uprated with the addition of turbochargers. Unlike the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Ford Focus that it competes with, the Impreza comes standard with all-wheel drive.
Since the third generation series, some markets have adopted the abbreviated Subaru WRX name for these high-performance variants. The first three generations of Impreza in North America were also available with an off-road appearance package titled Subaru Outback Sport. For the fourth generation, this appearance package became known as the Subaru XV, and is sold internationally. The ride is very absorbent and controlled. Handling is responsive and secure. Acceleration is good, and fuel economy of 27 mpg overall for the sedan is impressive given the standard all-wheel drive.

 Subaru Legacy Owners Manual
The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size sedan that was introduced by Subaru in February 1989 as a larger, more upscale companion to the Subaru Leone/Loyale. Part of the original design goals for the Legacy model was to provide Subaru a car in which they could compete in the lucrative North American midsize market against competitors Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. Higher performance variants of the Legacy are offered as competitive alternatives to compact executive cars such as the Audi A4, Alfa Romeo 159 and BMW 3 Series. The first models came with a 2.0 L engine and was available with 2WD, which later became standard worldwide. In Australia, where it is sold as the Subaru Liberty.
