Fiat S.p.A., an acronym for Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino. Fiat was founded in 1899 by a group of investors including Giovanni Agnelli. Fiat has also manufactured railroad vehicles, tanks and aircraft. As of 2009, Fiat is the world's sixth largest carmaker as well as Italy's largest carmaker.

The Ford Motor Company is an American multinational corporation based in Dearborn, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. The automaker was founded by Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903. In addition to the Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury brands, Ford also owns Volvo Cars in Sweden, and a small stake in Mazda in Japan and Aston Martin in the UK. Ford's former UK subsidiaries Jaguar and Land Rover were sold to Tata Motors of India in March 2008. Ford has agreed to sell Volvo to Geely Automobile in a deal expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2010.

Infiniti Owners Manual

Infiniti is the luxury car division of Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Infiniti officially started selling vehicles on November 8, 1989 in North America. The Infiniti name is not used in Japan, so most Infiniti models are sold under the Nissan marque: G37 sedan/coupe (Nissan Skyline Coupe), M35/45 (Nissan Fuga), EX35 (Nissan Skyline Crossover) and Q45 (Nissan Cima), the latter which was discontinued as an Infiniti model after 2006. The Infiniti FX and QX56 have no Nissan equivalents and are not sold in Japan.

Maserati is an Italian luxury car manufacturer established on December 1, 1914, in Bologna. The company's headquarters are now in Modena, and its emblem is a trident. It has been owned by the Italian car giant Fiat S.p.A. since 1993. Inside the Fiat Group, Maserati was initially associated with Ferrari S.p.A., but more recently it has become part of the sports car group including Alfa Romeo.
 

Mercury Owners Manual

Mercury is an automobile marque of the Ford Motor Company founded in 1939 by Edsel Ford, son of Henry Ford, to market entry-level-luxury cars slotted between Ford-branded regular models and Lincoln-branded luxury vehicles, similar to General Motors' Buick (and former Oldsmobile) brand and Chrysler's namesake brand. Today, all Mercury models are based on Ford platforms. The name "Mercury" is derived from the "messenger of the gods" of Roman mythology, and during its early years, the Mercury brand was known for performance, which was briefly revived in 2003 with the Mercury Marauder. The Mercury brand is used in the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Middle East. In 1999 the Mercury brand was dropped in Canada, although the Grand Marquis was still marketed there wearing a Mercury badge through 2007.

Oldsmobile was a brand of automobile produced for most of its existence by General Motors. It was founded by Ransom E. Olds in 1897. In its 107-year history, it produced 35.2 million cars, including at least 14 million built at its Lansing, Michigan factory. When it was phased out, Oldsmobile was the oldest surviving American automobile marque, and one of the oldest in the world, after Daimler and Peugeot. It is GM's first brand to be phased out in the 21st century, after the company's Geo and Canadian-market Asüna brands were phased out in the early 1990s.

Renault S.A. is a French automaker producing cars, vans, buses, tractors, and trucks, and, in the past, autorail vehicles. Due to its alliance with Nissan, it is currently the world's fourth largest automaker. Headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, Renault owns the Romanian automaker Automobile Dacia and the Korean automaker Renault Samsung Motors. The Lebanese-Brazilian Carlos Ghosn is the current CEO. The Rover Company is a former British car manufacturing company founded as Starley & Sutton Co. of Coventry in 1878. After developing the template for the modern bicycle with its Rover Safety Bicycle of 1885, the company moved into the automotive industry. It started building motorcycles and Rover cars, using their established marque with the iconic Viking Longship, from 1904 onwards. Land Rover vehicles were added from 1947 onwards, with all production based in Solihull after moving to these premises after World War II.

Since its inception, Saab has been known for innovation, pioneering significant advancements in ergonomics, green technology, safety and turbocharging. Originally the automobile manufacturing division of Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget (English: Swedish Airplane Limited), later known as Saab AB, Saab Automobile was acquired by General Motors in 1990 who sold it to Spyker Cars in 2010. The sale was completed on February 23, 2010. On June 13, 2012 it was announced that the National Electric Vehicle Sweden had bought Saab Automobile's bankruptcy estate.

Saturn Corporation is an automobile manufacturer and marque, established on January 7, 1985 as a subsidiary of General Motors in response to the success of Japanese automobile imports in the United States. Smart Owners Manual

Smart, an automotive brand of Daimler AG, is a manufacturer of microcars produced in Hambach, France. It is marketed as the "smart" in all lower-case, with the Smart brand logo, as of 2010, denoting a letter "c" for "compact" and an arrow for "forward thinking". Originally founded as a joint-venture between Swatch and Daimler-Benz, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler-Benz in 1998. The company expanded its lineup to include a sports car and supermini, however heavy financial losses forced it to scale back its operations. Its assets were divested in 2006 and the company became a division of DaimlerChrysler (now Daimler AG).

Subaru is the automobile manufacturing division and brand name of Japanese transportation conglomerate Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI). Subaru is internationally known for their use of boxer engines in most of their vehicles above 1500cc as well as their proponence of the all wheel drive drivetrain layout, first introduced in 1972, and became standard equipment for mid-size and smaller cars in most international markets as of 1996. They also offer many turbocharged versions of their passenger cars, such as the Impreza WRX.
